This course will give you everything you need to know about how to:

Writing a CV

By the end of this course you will have produced your own CV and you will understand:

  • How and when to use a CV
  • How to match your CV to the job description
  • How to identify the relevant information you need to include

 

Letter Writing

In this course you will put your learning into practice by writing a covering letter to go with your CV. By the end you will understand:

  • When to use a covering letter
  • How to put together a winning letter
  • How to write and submit speculative applications

 

Interview Techniques

Learn how to ace the interview with this course. You’ll learn:

  • How to match answers to common interview questions
  • How to answer open questions
  • How to talk about your skills and experience

The Practice Makes Perfect section will give you the chance to put what you’ve learnt into practice.

Workwise

The last course in our bundle gives you lots of information and a real insight into jobs in different sectors – from health and social care to retail and manufacturing. The course explains which qualifications you might need for the different jobs and where the career might take you.

Life Skills:

This course will help you see the different hazards in your home and help you make your home safer. You’ll explore the Fitzgerald family home and move around different areas inside and out, spotting potential hazards and meeting different characters.

By the end you will be able to:

  • Understand the various dangers that can be found in your home
  • Recognise potential dangers in the future
  • Make your house safe from fire and safe for children
  • Know how to respond to some dangerous situations
  • Ready to Cook

Have you ever wanted to have a few friends over for dinner, but not known where to start?

Ready to Cook will give you everything you need to impress your friends and family with your cooking skills. The course is in the style of a TV game show where contestants take part to plan, prepare and present a meal. A game show host explains the challenges and three judges are on hand to pass comment on each contestant’s skills and offer advice as to how they can improve.

 

When you have completed this course, you will be able to:

  • Prepare, plan, and cook a meal
  • Know how to organise yourself in the kitchen
  • Know how to organise a dinner party
  • Your Place Your Community

In this course, Sam takes you through a month in his life and his successes as he attempts to re-engage with other people in his community after a period of illness.

The course is in the style of a video diary and has a fun interactive game, Up the Aisles, to test what you’ve learned in the tasks.
